Our Moment – Earth Day 2025

Earth Day — April 22, 2025 — is our moment. This is our chance to show the world what Rotary can do when we stand united for our planet. We are calling on every Rotary Club across the United States to launch a bold, visible, and impactful environmental project—all on the same day. From coast to coast, from big cities to small towns, our collective efforts will spark change, inspire hope, and demonstrate the unstoppable power of Rotary in action.

Why This Matters

Rotary has always been a force for good—building wells, eradicating disease, and transforming communities. Now, we rise to meet one of the greatest challenges of our time: protecting our shared home.

Environmental sustainability is one of Rotary’s seven core areas of focus. By joining Rotary: United for Earth, you will unite with thousands of Rotarians to:
– Raise environmental awareness
– Restore local ecosystems
– Reduce pollution and waste
– Support long-term sustainability
– Inspire the next generation of leaders

Partnering for Greater Impact

This initiative aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Rotary can’t do this alone—and we don’t have to.

– March-July  2025 – Choose your project, rally your team, and register online.
– April 22, 2025 – Earth Day: Rotary Clubs across America take action together.
– May 2025 – July 1, 2026 Share your success. Upload stories, photos, and impact stats using our new media platform (Insert BCaster Code here).

Looking Beyond 2025

And this is just the beginning. Rotary: “United for Earth” officially launches on Earth Day 2025, but it will never end. Each year, we will grow stronger, expand our reach, and deepen our impact—culminating in a global launch in 2026.

We will also utilize the Sea 2 Sky Studios at EarthX 2025 to help Rotary Clubs create professional videos showcasing their projects. These videos can be shared on club websites, across social media, and in local communities to inspire ongoing engagement and participation.
